welcome, new visitors

There isn't much fanfare for the new crop of visitors who have come in this month, but what they encounter is quite wondrous. Is it a cruise ship? Is it a hotel? Is it a tiny planet? No one can give them a straight answer, but all are encouraged to take part in the buffet, where visitors may find an assortment of foods both familiar and unfamiliar to them. There is an open mic night happening in one of the lounges on site, featuring staff and visitor performances. Or there are a handful of shops to browse if you're amenable to trading.

Visitors will find that the Hotel Multiverse at the Edge of the Cosmos between Canons (its official name) is very much alive beyond the bustling crowd. In fact, it might just be listening to you and anticipating your needs.

As for the rest? Well, that's up to you. You may as well socialize, right?

[Kel had been there for... a while. At least long enough to tell he was not dreaming and somehow he really ended up in a completely different place. With the power of whatever magic. At least it was a good way to spend the summer?

but Basil... oh, he did spot Basil and his eyes grew as large as little saucers.

He had seen an oddly colored 'Sunny' around. And now... a Baby Basil? The flowers sure were a dead giveaway of the fact he was talking with a form of a Basil. Was there an oddly colored Kel too, perhaps? He approached, bringing both hands behind his back and leaning just a bit toward the flowers.]

Hi! Nice to meet you!

"Thanks Kel! I-" [Basil glanced up from the flower crown he was working on, before slightly freezing a moment, as if processing the boy in front of him. Sure enough he looked like Kel... without the familiar purple hair... as well as the teen being leagues taller than his friend.] "S-sorry... I thought you were one of my friends."

[Maybe the boy was somehow related to Hero and Kel? Although Basil didn't recall them mentioning any other family members... He gives you a slightly embarrassed look at the mistake.}

Huh... [So there *is* a differently colored Kel, huh? Will he be all orange? It would be fitting, all things considered.] It's okay, buddy. My name is Kel as well, so you got that right.

[He smiled down at 'Basil', studying him for a moment. He was... literally a baby version of his old friend. Maybe this was a parralel universe or something?]

Huh.... uhm... so, what's the plan with the flowers?

[Basil’s face changed into a bright smile as he looks up at this Kel. At least he accidentally got the boy’s name right!]

“It’s nice to meet you Kel!”

[At the question about the flowers, Basil grabbed a handful of them and held them out to Kel.]

“I thought it might be a good idea to teach everyone here how to make them! Would you like to help?”

[There we go, Blue-Basil was smiling now. That was good. That certainly was an expression he rarely saw on the actual Basil he was friends with, but... oh, not the right time to think about sad things.]

Pleasure is mine, flower boy. How should I call you?

[Because addressing someone as Basil 2.0 didn't sound really nice.. A hum as he reached for the flowers that had been offered him. Oh, heck, why not?]

Sure! I didn't make those in a long while so I guess taking some lessons from an expert may help.

“Oh!” [He gives you a sheepish look at realizing he had forgot to introduce himself.] “My name’s Basil.”

[Basil blushes slightly at the “expert” compliment and he continues on the crown he was working on.]

“O-oh thanks but I’m not really an expert or anything… just had lots of practice…” [His smile gets bright once again as he thinks about his friends.] “If you want an expert you should meet Mari! She taught us all how to make them! Although… I don’t think she’s here right now?” [The last part was said more as a question as Basil truly didn’t know if she was here or not.]

"Well, nice to meet you, Basil!"

Darn, even the names were the same in this case. Basil 2.0 it was, even if he was not going to say the 'two-point-zero' part out loud. At least the kid seemed nice as his blonde counterpart and Kel had to fight his instinct not to ruffle his hair when the other blushed and returned to his crown- God, having a baby sister certainly made him more inclined to be nice to kids, huh?

"Well, still more than I have. I do have practice with various kinds of sports but that's not the same." And then... Kel basically froze for a moment. Mari. Mari... thank heavens she wasn't there, even if it was another version of herself. Kel... didn't quite know how he'd react to her presence.

"Well... you could start teaching me though? Are you also... new around here?"

“Oh!” [His blush deepened even further when he realized his mistake. Setting down his own project he picked up a new base and stared at the assortment of flowers.] “s-sorry about that! Any specific colors you would like?”

[True enough there was practically every color and type of flower under the rainbow.]

“I just arrived a little while ago! How about you? Have you been here long?”
