welcome, new visitors

There isn't much fanfare for the new crop of visitors who have come in this month, but what they encounter is quite wondrous. Is it a cruise ship? Is it a hotel? Is it a tiny planet? No one can give them a straight answer, but all are encouraged to take part in the buffet, where visitors may find an assortment of foods both familiar and unfamiliar to them. There is an open mic night happening in one of the lounges on site, featuring staff and visitor performances. Or there are a handful of shops to browse if you're amenable to trading.
Visitors will find that the Hotel Multiverse at the Edge of the Cosmos between Canons (its official name) is very much alive beyond the bustling crowd. In fact, it might just be listening to you and anticipating your needs.
As for the rest? Well, that's up to you. You may as well socialize, right?
Basil (Omori) OTA (Voice testing, sorry I'm new at this!)
The buffet instantly drew his attention and he picked at the various foods, trying them with a pleased expression after each one. It didn't beat Mari's cookies but it sure was good!
The next thing he had set about looking for was a flower shop. If others were doing demonstrations maybe he could teach people here how to make flower crowns? Sure enough the place didn't disappoint, and he quickly found a shop- leaving with his arms full of various flowers and necessary supplies. How he paid for it was in question- but if that bothered the boy he didn't let it show- before he quickly set up in a corner and went to work practicing.]
Flower Crowns (welcome!)
What did give him pause, however, was the familiar floral crown paired with mint green hair. How sickening. How nostalgic.
He stilled. One sole heartbeat, then another, till he followed the glimpses to where Basil had set up shop.]
Re: Flower Crowns (welcome!)
"Omori!" [He gently put his recent project down, before quickly standing up and going to wrap the boy in a hug, assuming the other boy would allow him.] "How did you end up here?"
no subject
The answer to Basil’s question? A shrug. How else does Omori get places? It can just be assumed that he found himself here, just like Basil.
Except, if it was Omori’s choice, Basil shouldn’t be here. The boy glanced down at Basil’s unfinished project.]
no subject
"Yeah me too... I just kind of wandered here." [Following Omori's gaze, he glanced back down at the large pile of flowers and supplies.] "Ah! I'm making flower crowns. Want to help?" [Regardless of if his friend follows suit, Basil sits back down and picks up the unfinished one, talking animatedly as he began to thread another flower.] "I figured it might be a fun thing to teach everyone! After all... Mari taught us so we should share right?"
no subject
Unfortunately, Omori was still here.
There was a small, silent sigh let go from his pale lips - more a release of air than anything - before he grabbed a flower, beginning to weave it into the base.
Ready to listen to Basil chat, as usual.]

Before he knew it, Basil had completed the flower crown and looked down with a gasp. He quickly stood up, crown in hand and gave Omori a sheepish look.]
“Sorry! I’ll be right back!”
[He quickly ran off towards the flower shop and disappeared inside.]
no subject
Basil was much faster at making flower crowns than Omori. It didn’t help that the latter kept getting distracted or zoning out. He was only just reaching the halfway point when Basil shot up, quickly disappearing into the flower shop.
Well, that was… unexpected.
Omori looked around, unsure of what to do. Basil would return… probably. For now, he guessed he was going to stand out like a sore thumb - a monochrome space surrounded by bright flowers.
Another silent sigh followed.]
no subject
"S-sorry Omori! I had to fulfill a promise..." [The boy was clearly out of breath he continued to talk.] "T-there was an old lady running the shop and she gave me all this stuff so I could make the crowns and I promised I'd give her one when I finished it..."
[He moved to sit back down, grabbing some new cord to start another one, when he noticed Omori's own flower crown in progress. His face brightened as he stared at it.]
"It looks amazing! You are getting really good at this!" [He shoots you an almost blinding smile.]
no subject
How very like Basil to fulfill a promise he had made. That was how he had gotten all these supplies then? It wasn’t too much of a shock.
Omori’s expression didn’t change much at the praise. In fact, he leaned a little further away as Basil got closer - almost like he was shy about the result not being finished. Or maybe he just valued his personal space.]
no subject
"See how you tied the flowers around here?" [Basil pointed towards various points where his friend had worked on the crown.] "It secures them really well so they wont fall off for a long time! If you keep using that method, this one is sure to last a while!"
[Basil shot Omori another bright smile as he picked up another wreath to begin connecting flowers to - this one being a yellow and orange combination.]

He continued to weave flowers in slowly, feeling somewhat at ease.]

Have you had a chance to explore? Meet anyone new?
no subject
The flower boy’s question had him nodding and shaking his head. Yes, he had explored. He didn’t say what he had seen. And no - no new people were needed. He had seen plenty of them, sure, but he didn’t require having them around.]
no subject
So… in a bit would you like to go exploring together? [Basil hadn’t seen much of this place yet but it seemed interesting enough. Maybe they could make some more friends together! In the meantime though, Basil continued working on the flower crowb, content with talking.]
And this is probably how Basil ends up in the haunted house by himself XD
It was what he was used to: Exploring, gathering items, fighting bosses. Except the latter hadn’t actually appeared.
Plus, sticking near Basil meant his friend was less likely to get into trouble… which meant less headaches for Omori.
Speaking of… pale hands finished weaving the last available space on the crown. His gaze centered on Basil before holding the finished product out to him.]
Lol that would be hilariously accurate! XD
That looks amazing! See! You are good at making them! [Basil’s gaze wandered to see if anyone else had come close enough to give some to.]
I wonder who we should give them to… do you have any ideas Omori?
Timeline for this now established XD

but Basil... oh, he did spot Basil and his eyes grew as large as little saucers.
He had seen an oddly colored 'Sunny' around. And now... a Baby Basil? The flowers sure were a dead giveaway of the fact he was talking with a form of a Basil. Was there an oddly colored Kel too, perhaps? He approached, bringing both hands behind his back and leaning just a bit toward the flowers.]
Nice plants, buddy...
Hi! Nice to meet you!
[Maybe the boy was somehow related to Hero and Kel? Although Basil didn't recall them mentioning any other family members... He gives you a slightly embarrassed look at the mistake.}
nice to meet you!
[He smiled down at 'Basil', studying him for a moment. He was... literally a baby version of his old friend. Maybe this was a parralel universe or something?]
Huh.... uhm... so, what's the plan with the flowers?
Re: nice to meet you!
“It’s nice to meet you Kel!”
[At the question about the flowers, Basil grabbed a handful of them and held them out to Kel.]
“I thought it might be a good idea to teach everyone here how to make them! Would you like to help?”
Re: nice to meet you!
Pleasure is mine, flower boy. How should I call you?
[Because addressing someone as Basil 2.0 didn't sound really nice.. A hum as he reached for the flowers that had been offered him. Oh, heck, why not?]
Sure! I didn't make those in a long while so I guess taking some lessons from an expert may help.
Re: nice to meet you!
[Basil blushes slightly at the “expert” compliment and he continues on the crown he was working on.]
“O-oh thanks but I’m not really an expert or anything… just had lots of practice…” [His smile gets bright once again as he thinks about his friends.] “If you want an expert you should meet Mari! She taught us all how to make them! Although… I don’t think she’s here right now?” [The last part was said more as a question as Basil truly didn’t know if she was here or not.]

Darn, even the names were the same in this case. Basil 2.0 it was, even if he was not going to say the 'two-point-zero' part out loud. At least the kid seemed nice as his blonde counterpart and Kel had to fight his instinct not to ruffle his hair when the other blushed and returned to his crown- God, having a baby sister certainly made him more inclined to be nice to kids, huh?
"Well, still more than I have. I do have practice with various kinds of sports but that's not the same." And then... Kel basically froze for a moment. Mari. Mari... thank heavens she wasn't there, even if it was another version of herself. Kel... didn't quite know how he'd react to her presence.
"Well... you could start teaching me though? Are you also... new around here?"
no subject
[True enough there was practically every color and type of flower under the rainbow.]
“I just arrived a little while ago! How about you? Have you been here long?”
