welcome, new visitors

There isn't much fanfare for the new crop of visitors who have come in this month, but what they encounter is quite wondrous. Is it a cruise ship? Is it a hotel? Is it a tiny planet? No one can give them a straight answer, but all are encouraged to take part in the buffet, where visitors may find an assortment of foods both familiar and unfamiliar to them. There is an open mic night happening in one of the lounges on site, featuring staff and visitor performances. Or there are a handful of shops to browse if you're amenable to trading.

Visitors will find that the Hotel Multiverse at the Edge of the Cosmos between Canons (its official name) is very much alive beyond the bustling crowd. In fact, it might just be listening to you and anticipating your needs.

As for the rest? Well, that's up to you. You may as well socialize, right?

[ for a second, ari's eyebrows shoot up. a band, huh? she can respect that.

for ari's credit, she takes her time mulling both of them over. he did take it seriously, and he didn't even know her. maybe she was a little mean.

she taps her chin, narrows her eyes, and plucks the hanger and the green dress out of his hands. ]

Fine. I'm trusting you!

[ she says it like it's his problem and swishes off to the dressing room. a comically short time later, she comes skidding out, absolutely giddy, and she's making a beeline toward him and basically moving in circles around him.

ok. yeah. it was a good choice. ]

Ohmygod, you were right! You were absolutely right. I have to sing in this! Ohmygod!

[ she has never known a single grain of chill. ]

( he can't help it. he's smug even before she goes to try the dress on, arms crossed over his chest with one eyebrow briefly quirked. his lips curl up in a famously whiskered grin. )

Uh-huh.

( it's even more fetching on her with the red hair balancing out the soft green and light tulle. he's pleased with himself. maybe he should advise young girls on party outfits more often. )

You gonna wear it out to open mic night?

cannot believe ari's top level was made possible by neon,,,, first hotel continuity.

[ she is going to be the prettiest bitch on that bowling alley carpet!!!!

ari spins around one more time and finally comes to a stop. she puts her hands on her hips, and she shrugs. ]

Sorry about before. [ she smiles, and she is, at least, a little sheepish. and really, now that she's caring to actually regard the person in front of her, he's got a vibe. the fashion, it makes sense. neon's social media stylist era when??? ] Is your band playing at the hotel, or something?

( he snorts. ) No, I get it. Who wants an asshole telling them they don't look good? No one. But I had good intentions, obviously.

( neon is proud of himself. he falls silent for a moment, sauntering over to the accessories display. glancing between the stand and the girl, he opts for a thin pearl headband, offering it to her with a little wiggle. )

It's just me as far as I know. I'm as new here as most of the others, I think.

Okay, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who just kinda — poofed in here. Still looking for my classmates. Maybe they caught a bus or something.

[ oh, she does love a good hair ornament. ari is delighted for a moment before a rhinestone tiara catches her eye. a tacky hair ornament is even better. she tosses him a glance over her shoulder as she plucks it off the stand. ]

I'm Ari! Aralise, but don't worry about it.

Look, I'm supposed to be on tour, but I can't say I didn't need the break. Kinda wish the guys were here, though.

( sure, neon was born with a silver spoon, but he's rather turn to dust than have anyone call his band "industry plants." it's a pride thing. and it's factually untrue. the only things he's been funding have been comfortable transportation and hotel rooms. )
