welcome, new visitors

There isn't much fanfare for the new crop of visitors who have come in this month, but what they encounter is quite wondrous. Is it a cruise ship? Is it a hotel? Is it a tiny planet? No one can give them a straight answer, but all are encouraged to take part in the buffet, where visitors may find an assortment of foods both familiar and unfamiliar to them. There is an open mic night happening in one of the lounges on site, featuring staff and visitor performances. Or there are a handful of shops to browse if you're amenable to trading.

Visitors will find that the Hotel Multiverse at the Edge of the Cosmos between Canons (its official name) is very much alive beyond the bustling crowd. In fact, it might just be listening to you and anticipating your needs.

As for the rest? Well, that's up to you. You may as well socialize, right?

"You're in the Nexus and as far as I'm concerned as someone who has vast traveling experience. Never seen anything like you before. And I don't hate you. Why are you hated?"

He barked a laugh. It was bitter and came from a place of clear and obvious pain.

"Why are we hated? Because that's how humans are," he said, bitterly. "We're stronger, we're faster, we're hardier. We're slaves that refuse to just roll over and play dead when our human masters are done with us. Oh, and let's not forget that we're tied to the roots of a tribe that the king of Belquat did all he could to eradicate. But he failed. We survived. We always survive. And that's the reason we're hated."

[familyalien]

"Yeah, humans are good at hating." The Doctor remarks with disappoint, "But they are also capable of loving and understanding and learning from thar mistakes when they want to be."

[inhumanrights]

"Oh really? Tell that to the dead. Tell that to the generations of Ajin murdered for how we were born. I took Senen for a reason. If this is some test to see if I regret it or to get me to admit to it?"

[familyalien]

"They're not perfect." He is aware of humanity short comings and has a disappointed look on his face at not the person next to him but for humanity. "And this is a time when I'm disappointed with them. They should know better."

[inhumanrights]

"They should, and yet they clearly don't. You speak like you're not one, though. And you don't know what the Ajin are, seemingly. What are you?"

[familyalien]

"I'm The Doctor." Is the cocky reply

[inhumanrights]

"I do not know that species."

[familyalien]

"Quite alright. Big multiverse."

[inhumanrights]

"I.... have no idea what to do with that...." he said, dumbfounded for once.

[familyalien]

"So - what are you going to do to end the war?"

[inhumanrights]

"I'm dead, what I could do I have done. My job is over. I now go to whatever rest this may be."

[familyalien]

"Im sorry. Im so, so, sorry."

[inhumanrights]

He shrugged. "I lied, I kept secrets, I betrayed the only person to love and trust me. It is only fitting that I suffer now," he said, as though he was trying to convince himself.

[familyalien]

"Yes." The Doctor remarks firmly, "But it doesn't mean you can't be forgiven."

[inhumanrights]

"I don't deserve it. And I am not looking for it. I did what needed to be done. I'd do it again if I needed to. I didn't like doing it, but it needed to be done and I was the only one who could. But I shouldn't be forgiven. Not for what I did."

[familyalien]

"What is it that you did?"

[inhumanrights]

He considered his words a moment. Mostly if he'd say them at all. Finally he looked away, trying to sound disinterested.

"Betrayed the only person who ever trusted me."
