welcome, new visitors

There isn't much fanfare for the new crop of visitors who have come in this month, but what they encounter is quite wondrous. Is it a cruise ship? Is it a hotel? Is it a tiny planet? No one can give them a straight answer, but all are encouraged to take part in the buffet, where visitors may find an assortment of foods both familiar and unfamiliar to them. There is an open mic night happening in one of the lounges on site, featuring staff and visitor performances. Or there are a handful of shops to browse if you're amenable to trading.

Visitors will find that the Hotel Multiverse at the Edge of the Cosmos between Canons (its official name) is very much alive beyond the bustling crowd. In fact, it might just be listening to you and anticipating your needs.

As for the rest? Well, that's up to you. You may as well socialize, right?

[A teenager in somewhat ragged and crispy clothing is staring at the Box. He does indeed have extra senses - and..and whatever that is, is Old. And...big, maybe? He's not entirely sure what he's sensing, but it's not entirely unlike the Jedi Temple on Lothal.

He's not even sure that he's not dead, given he was shot in the middle of doing something very risky and he thought they were entering hyperspace and now he's here. Surely this isn't the Cosmic Force. Right?

His gaze jerks to the fellow who spoke, and he says, warily.]

...Lothal.

Why?

[The Doctor parrots]

Can't say I've heard of that before. What's it like thar?

Oh, just curious and learning a bit about this place. This - hotel.

But you are curious, I've been to all six corners of the universe.

[He blinks a little. Closes his eyes very briefly. Takes a deep breath. Lets it out. Opens his eyes again, and offers a shaky smile.]

I just got here, I guess.

Lothal is...it's beautiful. [Said sincerely and wistfully.] Stretches of grass and flowers and farmlands. The mountains and forest. [His expression slips a little.]

Or...was. Will be again. [More gamely, with a edge of steel determination.] I'm sure.

[His brows furrows.] I'm sorry - did you say six corners?

Sounds beautiful.

[The Doctor remarks in agreement, until he understands there might be war, involved and his face is full of sympathy.]

Yes, hope is important.

[Then confirming tone]

Yes, I said six corners, why?

[He's right about war - a general exploitation. A smile flickers across the young man's face at the remark about hope, before he sobers back into confusion.]

It's just - I haven't heard that turn of phrase before?

[What bothers The Doctor is that he hasn't heard of Lothal before and combs obsessively though his hair with his fingers because this means something but what?]
